Prerequisite: A C- or better in SPA260 or placement. Pre or Corequisite: ENG103W. (Offered annually in the fall). In this course, students will learn to critically analyze cultural artifacts from Spanish-speaking countries and engage with relevant critical theory. This course will expose students to a wide variety of literature, art, and film from Spain and Latin America to introduce the terminology, methods of analysis, and research skills used in the field. Students will develop their ability to work with scholarship and thoughtfully interpret course texts in comprehensible spoken and written Spanish.
