Course Memo

Prerequisites: SOC102 and Junior Standing. Seminar exploring the main theoretical perspectives and issues of crime from sociological and biological perspectives. Explanations of the causes of crime, as well as characteristics of victims and offenders, are also reviewed. Emphasis is placed on empirical assessment of presented theories. Additionally, prevention of and response to crime is explored and analyzed.
