Course Memo
Course Description
This blended course will introduce students to lower level informatics as it applies to computer applications and information systems in healthcare.
Students will explore general computer information, healthcare information systems and
specialty applications. Major themes of privacy, confidentiality and information security are
presented throughout the course. Ethics, evidence based practice and various channels of electronic and digital communication will be studied. Basic computer knowledge and skills will be utilized during this course. Online course through Methodist College of Nursing.
